Dr. Elizabeth Hoy grew up in a Philadelphia suburb and attended Penn State University to obtain her biology degree. Immediately following, she attended the University of Pittsburgh Dental School where she graduated with honors. During her time in dental school, she was awarded the National Health Service Corps scholarship. To further expand her knowledge, she completed an optional one-year residency at the Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Following residency, she provided dental care to the underserved community for five years in Tampa, FL. Since moving to Charlotte in 2017, Dr. Hoy has enjoyed working in private practice.
As a daughter of a dentist, Dr. Hoy was brought up following the golden rule, “Treat others as you want to be treated.” She believes good communication and patient education are the keys to creating successful patient outcomes.
Dr. Hoy resides near uptown Charlotte with her husband, Paul, two young children, Issac and Lily, and rescue pup, Stella. In her spare time, she enjoys watching football, gardening, and cooking.
