I grew up always wanting to do something in the healthcare field, and dentistry was kind of a natural fit for me because it allowed me to do that, allowed me to use my hands. I enjoy helping people and making them smile beautiful and giving them teeth that function and allow them to eat. I went to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, for undergrad and ended up staying and going to dental school there, as well. Native North Carolinian, born and raised in Greensboro. Right after dental school, I went and did a two-year residency at Carolina Medical Center, and that just gave me some additional training and exposed me to a lot of things that I wasn’t exposed to in dental school.
We do continue to get education every year, throughout the year, and just, varies subject to subject. I’ve done things related to sleep apnea and snore guards. I’ve done things related to root canals, things related to general fillings, crown and bridge, removable appliances like dentures and partials, and it just keeps us up-to-date on what the latest and greatest materials and techniques are and helps to provide the best possible treatment to our patients. ” title=”Dr. Luis Dancausse on Why he Became a Dentist and His Education
