Meet Your Friendly & Helpful Charlotte, NC Dental TeamDr. Luis Dancausse on the caring nature of the staff Read Transcript
I enjoy coming to work every day because I think we treat people well. I feel good about how we treat people and take care of them. I feel good about our staff in that I know that they're good people and that they're concerned with the person in the chair, not just their mouth.
I think, number one, our team is concerned with patients’ well-being and taking the best care of them that we can, making sure that people are comfortable and are informed and helping them and guiding them through each step of the procedures. We try to inform folks from everything from the procedure we're doing to the financial obligation that's related to each procedure, and always welcome and open to any questions or any concerns along the way.
We've been lucky to have a staff that's had very little turnover, especially the clinical staff. They do get to know the patients very well and a lot of times, it feels like they're part of the family because they come in, and that particular hygienist might not be in and they miss them.
At McNulty and Dancausse General Dentistry, your needs and desires come first. Our caring staff members make sure you and your family members feel comfortable during each visit so that you’re always happy to come back. Feel free to “meet” our team here before your first appointment at our Charlotte, NC dentist office.
Erika is originally from Cancun, Mexico, and has lived in the U.S. since 1998. She has worked in the dental field since 2006, and joined our team in March of 2017, and really enjoys working with her colleagues here in the office. At home, she spends most of her time with her teen-aged daughter. She also enjoys crocheting and knitting, and listening to Pop and Latin music. Favorite quote: Peace begins with a smile – Mother Teresa
Carlene is from Santa Cruz, California, and has practiced dental hygiene since 1983. She’s been a member of our team since 1999 and still enjoys spending each week with her awesome co-workers and high-integrity doctors and getting to know our patients. In her off-time, she gardens, works out, and is a bit of a “foodie” who loves sushi, Thai food, Indian food, and wine tasting (so much good food, so little time!). At your visit, you might hear her sharing her favorite quote from the Tooth Fairy: “You don’t have to floss ALL of your teeth, just the ones you want to keep!”
Kearney grew up in Chicago, IL, then moved to Waynesville, NC, in 1977. She became a dental hygienist in 1989 and has been working with us since 2010. Her favorite part of her job is working with the rest of our team and how we all help each other out. When she’s not helping the rest of us at the office, she spends her time volunteering at her church, walking her dog, and indulging in Netflix marathons. She loves listening to Christian contemporary and classical music. When it comes to snacks, she has a fondness for cookies, cake, or anything sweet. Her favorite quote is: “Don’t look back; you are not going in that direction.”
Maria joined our staff in 2014 and has been making personal connections with our patients to help them understand our commitment to quality care ever since. Originally from San Antonio, TX, she enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, Mexican and Indian food, and listening to Latin and soft rock music. Her favorite quote is by Paulo Coelho: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.”
Nancy grew up in Charlotte, NC, and has spent more than three decades in dentistry. She joined our team in 2010, and her favorite aspect of her job is seeing the beauty of genuine faith played out and knowing that our staff and doctors render the best care for our patients. In her spare time, she loves working on crafts and jumble puzzles, as well as dining on pasta (her favorite food) and listening to ’60s music. Her favorite quote is attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Do not go where the path may lead, but go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
Originally from New Haven, CT, Pilar joined our team in 2009. She loves working with the team here, pleasing our patients, and meeting patients from different places. When she’s away from the office, she spends her time gardening, going to the movies with her family, or hitting a Chinese buffet. She also sings on special occasions and loves listening to Latin, salsa, big band, and classical music (Vivaldi, especially). Her favorite quote is from Marcus Aurelius: “Live every day like it is your last.”
Sharon came to join us in 1997 from Miller Place, Long Island. Ever since she came onboard, she’s most enjoyed working with her co-workers to provide the best care for our patients and make them smile. She also loves spending time with her family and grandchildren, dining on excellent seafood, and jamming to alternative ’80s tunes.
Vicki came to McNulty and Dancausse General Dentistry in 1997 and loves working with our patients one-on-one. She spends her free time gardening and reading and loves all genres of music. During your visit, feel free to chat with her about your favorite cheese (her most beloved food).
Laura grew up in Patchogue, Long Island, and moved to Huntersville, NC, in 2008. She enjoys working with the team here and coming together to achieve the main goal of bringing full dental health to patients. She also enjoys learning about each patient and listening to their needs as well as their interests in life. When away from the team, you might find Laura spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves the theater, traveling, entertaining, cooking, and writing, and her favorite place to be is at the beach.
